Folks, I’m on the Board of the Roanoke Valley Sports Club and we have landed Coach Pete D’Amour and All-American Keely Rochard as guest speakers for our dinner meeting on Monday night August 16th.

We would like to extend a special invite to the TSL Nation to attend. It should be a fun evening. We were actually Coach D’Amour’s first speaking engagement in 2018 when he took the VT job, so I’ve always taken credit for getting him off to a good start…lol

The Roanoke Valley Sports Club has been in existence since the 1970’s, and is made up of individuals who love sports and love to talk about all aspects of the games. Over the history of the club, guest speakers have included coaches such as Frank Beamer, Tony Bennett, Mike Young, and Lefty Driesell, UVA Athletic Director Carla Williams, NBA players Dell Curry and Bimbo Coles, NFL referee Terry McAulay, NCAA football official Jim Hyson, and ESPN personality Marty Smith.

We meet monthly at the Salem Civic Center with social time beginning at 5:45, a buffet dinner at 6:15, and program at 7:00. Cost is only $22.50 for non-members and $10 for high school students and children.

Reservations have to be made by Friday, August 13th.
